| New Nissan Maxima: upper middle class |

Nissan introduced completely updated middle class Maxima sedan (Teana in Japan) at the Detroit motor show. As well as updated Altima, Nissan Maxima growed up in size (the length is 4915 mm) and fits in the upper middle class now.
Acura TL (Honda Inspire in Japan) presumably becomes the competitor of the new Maxima, and former competitors Honda Accord and Toyota Camry will compete with new Altima now. The price for new Maxima rised up to 28,000-34,000 $ (25,000 $ earlier), which is comparable to the price of the Toyota Avalon (Pronard in Japan).
